Default just back from GC:

I just got my girlfriends j-frame back from guncranky, it looks awesome, 100% better than before. He also put in some wolf springs that made a hellova difference vs my stock j-frame. The trigger is so much smoother and noticeably lighter. Definitely worth $10. Much thanks to Claude for his work!

On to the pics ( they are all the same, just different angles/distances, I couldn't decide which I liked best so here are all 6)

no, they are federal 125gr nyclad. very hard to find when I've looked for more. I love it. it gives a softer push back into the hand, versus that harsh snap of every FMJ round I've shot through one. If I could find more I would shoot it exclusively, as it doesn't hurt my hand/palm like everything else. Plus follow up shots are easier.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

That is an EXCELLENT choice. I remember reading a while back, that Federal 125gr Nyclad was one of the best non +P .38 SPL self-defense rounds. Mild recoil with good penetration and expansion w/weight retention.

Yeah, I've read nothing but good about them. To me, they seem to have the familiar "push" like a 45 instead of the snappy (and frankly painful) recoil of every target load I've fired. They are a lot of fun to shoot, but since I can't find it anywhere I am keeping the 30 that I have left for carry duty. I found one box on GB, but I wont pay 60 bucks for a box of ammo. I actually got them in a trade from a guy off of here, along with another 642 with grips. That was my best buy to date.

For those of you looking for Federal 125 Nyclads, Orion Arms (formally Kiesler's) has them for $27.99 per box of 50.

If you shoot a camera as bad as you shoot your guns, you should have to pay HIM to take pictures of his work!

there would only be half of the gun in the picture and it would be way out of focus

Days and Days of training probably has not included shooting at targets on the ground. There was an interesting post I think it was on here a while back explaining how shooting an object/threat on the ground is more difficult than a target on a stand or standing. I can see where it would have it's place in a SD scenario however I would think it to be rather limited.
