Default AR 15 build range report

What a great day other than the wind blowing for range shooting. I spent a few hours at Knob creek today breaking in the barrel on the AR build. The gun functions perfectly with never a hickup in feeding or function. I shot 10 and cleaned between each shot. Then shot 10 shots and cleaned. another 10 and cleaned and during the last ten shots the last 5 I shot a group at 125 yards. The 100 yard markers were down and I found out I was too far out. anyway I shot 1 1/2" group. Not bad with the wind blowing like it was. My reloads are hotter than factory ammo and that is what I shot the groups with.
The dot in my scope covered the 1" target dot I was shooting at I think that was a little to do with the group size. Gun is leaving just a little extractor mark on the brass so that may need a little attention but that will wear in after use some. I want to try it on a calm day to see how good it groups.
I am happy with the results.

My other Ar getting some rounds through it.

You show your friends your Kimbers, Colts, Springfield's, and H&Ks. You show your enemies your Glock.

Nice! Glad you finally got to shoot it. I wouldn't mind throwing a scope on mine just to really test the accuracy

Glad you enjoyed your purchase, and I'm especially glad the weather is finally nice enough to get out.

Looks like a standard fiberglass A1 buttstock to me.

Good groups Dean, how hot are those loads? Would you please send me the load data you are using?

Yes it is a standard fiberglass A1 stock and it fits perfect to me. Did anyone notice the denim sandbags my wife made for me out of old bluejeans?

I can't be on every group besides I like it here. You should hang here because we have several gunsmiths that give good advice on this site.
