Hey guys just wanted to let you know the paperwork for Scott/ Cheese, came in and we will get the transaction completed hopefully this week.He was unable to pick up the prize last week.Maybe we can get a picture of the winner and the can if our schedules work out.
Anyway, I just want to thank Rex from another Rex for a chance to help out and give someone a chance at an awesome prize.Next time it should be no problem with all the new people on the boards to sell even more chances for the win and help out even more around here.Hope you guys had fun with it. Thanks again! Rex Tyson / Kentucky Firearms

Stick around Cheese. KFA is a great place. We did give you a .22lr suppressor free of any charge, the least you can do is hang out and talk guns with us.

With any luck at all, I will get to give it a shake down tomorrow evening or Sat. Once I get some rounds through it, I will let you know how it performs.

I got out to play some today. This was my first time messing with a suppressor so I did not know what to expect. I figured it would move my point of impact and it did. I thought it might open my groups and it did. I did not expect it to get hot but it did. After about 5 or 6 steady shots, it was quite warm. After 10 quick shots running the plates it was hot.
I use my 22 conversion to shoot plate racks most days so that is a lot of what I did. I tried Remington Subsonic, Remington Golden Bullet Bulk, and CC Mini Mags. All 3 functioned fine and as you might expect the subsonic was the quietest by far. As you might not expect, the quietest was far from silent. It still had a distinct pop and I would still want hearing protection when shooting it. Below are some 4 and 5 shot groups from a bag at 10 yards with and without the suppressor using the 3 types of ammo I had on hand. Oddly, the first shot with the suppressor was always the really high shot. Reading left to right and top to bottom the groups are, Remington Subsonic suppressed Remington Subsonic not suppressed Remington Golden Bullet suppressed CCI Mini Mag not suppressed Remington Golden Bullet suppressed Remington Goldern Bullet not suppressed ![]() As you can tell I'm not the greatest shot but I am pretty consistant so the really high ones are not likely me jerking the trigger. In all cases I was holding directly on the center of each target. All in all it is a neat toy and I will enjoy it. Thanks for the raffle! |
