**** FINE Dan Wesson 15-2

This is a KFA members Dan Wesson Model 15-2 which he was wanting to keep for a shooter. It was pretty well used but still quite a decent firearm.

I've had the pleasure of shooting plenty of these pieces in the past but have never owned one or performed any detailed teardowns of them...
Now that I have, I WANT ONE FOR MYSELF!

Some of you may recognize the Cerakote Stainless finish which garnered so much attention on Gunbroker from a local S&W Model 10 which I did sometime back! This is just an awesome finish for many applications...I really enjoy using it!

Dunno, may have been a truck gun?

I was pleased that it cleaned up so well! That particular finish has a bit of a tooth so it does hide marks really well.
My favorite finish is the KG GunKote which goes on the thinnest of all...the drawback is that it will show every flaw as well!

They're be a Walther P38 coming up in the next day or two which I just completed from a fire recovery. I couldn't remove the pitting but it turned out fairly nice also.

Yessir that looks great!

As to the scratches, I dunno. I bought it like that 'cause it was a great shooter, I needed a truck gun and it was cheap. I kept it in a holster so I did not contribute more scratches myself.

Now I need another truck gun!
